“Dental spa” sounds a little like a contradiction. Most people don’t associate the dentist with relaxing. That’s exactly the point.

A dental spa isn’t a special medical category or a different kind of license. It’s an approach. The dentistry is the same care you’d get at any good general practice: cleanings, fillings, crowns, whitening and the rest. What changes is how the visit feels. A dental spa puts real effort into making appointments calm, unhurried and personal, especially for people who have dreaded the dentist for years.

What That Looks Like at Da Vinci Dental Spa

Every office does this a little differently. Here’s what you can expect from us on Engle Road.

  • Time to Talk: We don’t rush you into the chair. Your first visit starts with a conversation about your history, your worries and what you’d like to change.
  • No Surprises: Dr. Layth Abbood explains what he finds before recommending anything. Intraoral cameras put a close-up view of your teeth on a screen beside you, so you see what he sees.
  • A Careful Eye: Dr. Abbood holds a certificate in Oral Pathology and Radiology from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. That training helps him read X-rays and scans closely for early decay, gum changes and other problems that are easy to miss.
  • A Team That Knows You: Many of our patients are families who book back-to-back appointments, and our team gets to know each of you by name.
  • Help When Something Hurts: We hold same-day openings for dental emergencies, so a toothache doesn’t have to wait.

What We Offer

A calm visit doesn’t mean limited care. At Da Vinci Dental Spa, you can come in for:

Questions to Ask Any Dental Spa

If you’re comparing offices, a nice waiting room shouldn’t be the only thing you look at. Ask:

  1. Who will be treating me, and what’s their training?
  2. Do you explain my options and costs before starting treatment?
  3. Can you see me the same day if I have a dental emergency?
  4. Which insurance plans do you accept, and do you offer a plan for patients without insurance?

Comfort matters, but so does the quality of the dentistry behind it.

Insurance and Membership

We accept Careington, Delta Dental, Principal Financial, United Concordia and UnitedHealthcare, plus plans through several leased networks. If you don’t have insurance, our Elite Smiles+ Membership Club includes two cleanings, two exams, X-rays and an emergency exam each year, with 10% off procedures. CareCredit and Sunbit financing are available too. See our insurance and financing page for details.
